Eating after surgery
It’s a good idea to be mindful of your diet as your body adjusts. While most people can eat as normal although some may experience discomfort with fatty foods. Focus on a nutritious, balanced diet to support your recovery.
Rest and time off work
Allow yourself some downtime. We typically recommend taking about a week off work to give your body ample time to recover. Listen to your body and don’t rush back too soon.
Caring for your wounds
Keep your dressings clean and dry. You can shower with them on, and after about a week, they can usually come off—and stay off. This simple care routine helps your incisions heal without complications.
